“I do”

30 Sep

Over a year ago my husband earned the title “pastor” and now has the privilege to marry and bury people. Tonight he led a couple into the next step of their journey together. They committed to love and cherish one another and to walk through the good, bad, and ordinary days with one another. They desire to do this journey with Christ at the center growing in their relationship as one.

Not only did Adam lead this service, but our three girls were the flower girls. This was a fun event to celebrate together as a family. The girls did great, and completed the task without any major mishaps. Adam too accomplished a beautiful event with good biblical principal, sound wisdom and even a joke or two. First official pastoral role was a success. We will pray for you new Belden family, and challenge you to do this road together, and to have fun! Weddings are a great reminder of the joy a marriage can hold!

“In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. “(Ephesians 5:28-33 ESV)

what a handsome man your dad is :) Weddings are a great reminder of commitment – and your Adam certainly has held true to the vows you took that June day a few years back! Blessings on both men in your life!

It was fun to share this beautiful day with you, Adam and the girls! Adam did a great job as pastor. You and your girls were lovely – pink additions and all! : )
