Leavin on a jet plane!

7 Aug

This is mom wanting to thank all of you that are reading Allie’s blog and praying for her and our family! We are confident that The Lord continues to hold us in His hand.

Allie had a very discouraging stay in the hospital and by His grace and her perseverance she is finally home. Being that Allie spent the last 5 days in ICU we were very concerned as to how she should travel. After much discussion, my brother Ed pursued arranging a private plane turning a 6 hour car ride into a 45 minute flight!! We felt like the rich and famous!

Unfortunately, Allie left the hospital with some bone pain in her ribs and fluid retention of at least 9 liters which has caused her lots of discomfort. Pray for this to be resolved and management for the bone pain.

We were blessed to have family in Michigan who loved and entertained the kids making each day very special for their vacation.

Allie’s condition although improved is such that we would ask that visitors would wait until she recovers. We appreciate your faithful prayers in this most difficult journey.

psalm 143:8 “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

I am a long time friend of Allie’s cousin Tracey. I have never posted before, but I check everyday for updates on Allie. Was just going to bed and thought I would check one last time for an update. I am glad I did. So happy she is home and out of the hospital. How wonderful of Ed for the private flight!! You all will continue to be in my prayers. Allie is an inspiration to a lot of people, probably more than she can imagine. I know the week at the lake is something your family has enjoyed for years and so glad Allie was able to enjoy a few days. The girls I am sure loved spending time with their cousins. Will continue praying!!

    Hi Allie,
You dont know me, but I met you once at CCC-Hudson approximately a yr and a half ago. It was a boot camp class that you came to work out at. I had known of your story through Katy as she spoke of you often during fitness classes. I wanted to let you know that I was so inspired by you. You were so strong and I was so impressed with your fortitude and positive attitude. I wanted you to know I have been praying for you and your family since. Wishing the best for you and your family.

    Allie and Adam,
We do not know you but we are friends with Matt and Kelli Brown and learned of your journey through them. We have followed your blog and prayed for you. Today we are praying for a miraculous healing. We are praying the Spirit will be ever present in your home in these days. We pray for joyous moments and that fear would be far from all of you. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Thank you for your for pointing us to grace as you walk in uncertain days. Thank you for the reminder that all of our days are uncertain and He works all things together for His good. Thank you for reminding us to embrace the people in our lives and focus on what really matters. We are on our knees for you!

    Psalm 119:50
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.

    Allie & Family,
I just wanted to share this verse with you all. I am grateful you all have Jesus…without Him we are nothing. He is the only comforter, the only promiser, and the only preserver, we will ever need. Stand strong in His promises. He is in control, HE IS SOVEREIGN.

    Much love to you all,
    Shelagh Hughes

Hello dear Allie, Adam and the entire Armstrong Family (and Momma Kura!) How we miss you all. Please know we have been praying daily for your rest, recovery, peace and specifically that you would get the strength to get back home and to the next step the treatments. We are praying for you daily! (sometimes hourly) The Inman Family (Michael, Kelly and Molly & Caleb) all send their prayers, hope and peace. Molly is praying for you at night. I agree w/ the previous post and been praying for healing, strength, peace and courage. He is ABLE to do exceedingly, abundantly more than all we can ask or imagine. We love you.
